2013 wiper on when switch is off.

Another 2013 focus wiper issue. The wipers turned on by themselves, even with the key off and removed. I found the negative cable on the battery corroded very bad. I have a new cable coming and will install it in a couple days. It was so bad the small electrical connector was melted through. I will report back when it's together.
I thank the members on here so I didn't start replacing parts chasing this issue.

I replaced the negative cable and the little electrical connector and everything seems to be working fine.
