It is no secret that Ford is producing the next-gen Focus RS. The sports hatch is being developed in Germany and it will be the first of its kind to debut here in the US.
This explains why American car junkies are on overdrive as they can’t wait to meet and greet the next-gen Ford Focus RS. However, amidst the excitement, many are equally worried that they might receive a second-grade version of the Focus RS.
The thought came after Ford confirmed that the Focus RS is produced in Germany. This means that the car is going to be built with European’s safety regulations in mind. In Europe, safety is stricter than here in the US. To save cost, Ford might remove the safety features for the US market hence leading to Americans getting a lesser version of the Focus RS.
Of course, the above is just a possibility but it is unlikely to happen. If it does, then it simply shows that Ford is not a passionate carmaker but a company that is driven by profits instead.
