Traction Control Light On, Squeaky Brake Pedal

This just happened: driving when I felt a soft clunk and the Traction Control warning light came on. Also, the brake pedal sounds squeaky when pressed, but the brakes do work. The ABS light is off. Any ideas what this may be? Any idea if this is safe to drive?
